Welcome to Meg’s Porch! I am Meg and I have started this blog to share bits and pieces of my life’s journey, to include but not limited to great recipes I enjoy, my attempts at decorating our new home, fashion (which I know nothing about), my opinions on various things, and a lot of our family’s new adventures in homesteading!

I was born and raised in Iowa.  After college I moved to Denver, Colorado and lived there for a little over a decade.  We just recently moved our family of 5 back home to Iowa. Funny how all things come full circle. We have settled on a homestead just outside of Ames.  We are excited to raise our family in a more rural environment and a slower pace of life.  We are looking forward to many evenings on the front porch together.
